Image
We have all heard about the Dambadeniya kindom era. There is a place in our city with antiquities that belong to that era.Its name is Meddepola Raja Maha Viharaya. This is actually  a temple. But this temple has created it self  with strange architectural features. The temple is built on a large boulder. There are paintings belonging to the kandy era in this temple. Also, a talented artist named Solius mendis has painted this temple. And the old corrupt is in this temple. There is nothing wrong with calling this temple a very beautuful art gallery. Our city is proud to have such an ancient site.
